Chris finds personal fulfillment in helping business owners/executives find clarity. Chris’ doctoral study “Creating Revenue Diversification among Nonprofits” focused on merging modern portfolio theory with behavioral finance theory to increase operational capacity. Chris holds a doctorate in Business Administration specializing in Social Impact Management from Walden University. Prior to pursuing his doctorate degree, Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Emporia State University, his master’s in Business Administration from Kansas Wesleyan University.
Chris’ experience ranges from small businesses, manufacturing, nonprofits, to federal government projects. He offers consulting services focusing on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial advice, cost-benefit analyses, and project management.
Budgeting and Financial:
· Analyze current budget processes and identify areas for improvement
· Develop future budgets that fit into cash flow forecasts and the strategic planning trajectory
· Assist management with revenue windfalls and shortfalls
· Analyzing budgeted versus actual spending behaviors and prepare a monthly dashboard for management review
· Meet with departmental managers to provide advice on developing and maintaining a budget, guidance on how the department fits into the overall financial plans, and review monthly/quarterly reports
· Assist with gathering and preparing materials for board, committee, or investor meetings.
Cash Flow and Forecasting:
· Develop cash flow forecasts based on past performance and that align with the strategic plan
· Create a plan for operating reserves to increase operational effectiveness
· Establish short-term and long-term financial goals
· Develop a corporate social responsibility plan
Cost-Benefit Analysis:
· Cost-benefits analyses that better inform executive decision and increase day-to-day operations
· Analyses on expanding operations, outsourcing versus hiring additional personnel, entering a new market, implementing alternative energy strategies, equipment procurement, as well as other key decisions for your organization
Project Management:
· Capital projects from building additions, remodeling, or new construction projects
· Infrastructure planning and sourcing such as IT, maintenance schedules, equipment, service providers, facility repairs, and more.
